Based in Galax, Virginia; Vaughan-Bassett Furniture Company manufactures furniture. In 1919, two men, B.C. Vaughan and J.D. Bassett, Sr., of Bassett, Virginia, founded the company. Today, Vaughan Bassett employs approximately 600 people, in factories based in Galax, Virginia and Elkin, North Carolina. We are proud to report that 100% of our furniture is crafted here in America. Vaughan-Bassett is the largest manufacturer of wooden adult bedroom furniture in the United States. Most of the furniture we manufacture consists of solid wood and solid wood veneer; which are grown and harvested near our factories. Pine, Oak, Maple, Cherry, Ash, Poplar, Birch and Beech are the primary species used in Vaughan-Bassett's furniture collections. Also, we have the ability to use laminate materials, which are suited for the Hospitality industry. We strive to provide our customers with unmatched service, quality and value. All of Vaughan-Bassett's chest and dressers are engineered to comply with ASTM international F2057, a voluntary stability standard for bedroom storage furniture. We have earned the third-party UL Stability verified mark. Vaughan-Bassett is a member of the American Home Furnishings Alliance, a trade organization dedicated to working with regulatory officials to develop and maintain effective product safety standards for residential furniture. Lastly, Vaughan-Bassett has partnered with the Virginia Department of Forestry to replace every tree needed to produce our furniture. Over the last 15 years, over 2 million trees have been planted.
