About EDC Moving Systems EDC Moving Systems was founded in 1976 to provide reliable, predictable, flexible, and affordable transportation and warehousing solutions for the electronics and high-value equipment industries. Over the years, EDC has expanded its services to include office relocation, white-glove delivery, final-mile delivery, and FF&E warehousing, distribution, and installation. With offices in Houston, San Antonio, Dallas, and Austin, EDC Moving Systems employs over 200 people, operates a fleet of 75 trucks, and manages 4 modern warehouses with nearly 400,000 square feet of space. We serve customers throughout Texas and worldwide. Core Competencies Order Fulfillment – Warehousing and delivery performed by EDC require following a precise order fulfillment process. Warehouse receiving and storage standards are measured using key performance indicators (KPI) on a weekly basis. KPI measurements include receiving disposition, sort and load accuracy. All EDC warehouses maintain KPI ratings of 95% or better on a consistent basis. Commercial Delivery – Each EDC location performs an average of 200 deliveries per week. Each delivery is tracked, dispatched and monitored to include bar-code proof-of-delivery, photos and electronic signature as required. As with warehouse activity, deliveries are measured using specific KPI’s as dictated by each customer. The delivery scope varies from threshold-only to full white-glove services. Installation/liquidation Services – Leveraging our network of experienced FF&E installation companies, EDC offers comprehensive installation supervision services tailored to meet the specific needs of your project. Our installation teams are fully vetted and flexible to the demands of the project providing a quality deliverable with on-time results. Differentiators As an agent for Atlas Van Lines, we primarily focus on commercial activities, allowing us to avoid the seasonal fluctuations typically associated with household goods moves. This ensures consistent service levels throughout the year. With four Texas locations, EDC provides coverage to south and west Texas on a weekly basis. Our coverage extends into both Louisiana and Oklahoma.
