CAPCO Tile & Stone imports and distributes the finest in ceramic tile, stone tile, and stone slab from Italy and around the globe. Established in Colorado Springs in 1977, CAPCO moved its main warehouse and showroom to Denver in 1978. In the late 1980's, CAPCO opened branches in Las Vegas, Nevada, Fort Collins and Carbondale, Colorado. Each branch location had its own showroom, showcasing tile and stone in vignettes and floor patterns. Building on the success of these branch showroom operations, the company continued its expansion into the 1990's establishing branches in Grand Junction, Avon, and Boulder. By the mid 1990's, CAPCO was well regarded as one of the premier tile distributors in the Rocky Mountain region. In 1996, a new ownership group purchased CAPCO with a focus on service and reliability aimed toward further growth and expansion. Riding the explosive wave of growth in the region and promoting a "customer comes first" attitude, CAPCO's sales multiplied threefold over the next four years. 1999 saw the addition of a new branch in Silverthorne. In 2000, CAPCO integrated stone slab into its product line, rounding out CAPCO's standing as the one-stop leader in the tile and stone industry. CAPCO positioned slab warehouse locations in Denver, Colorado Springs, Fort Collins, and Basalt to provide flexibility for customer selection and pick-up. Finally outgrowing its original Denver location, CAPCO moved to a new, 87,000 square foot facility in 2001, combining all of its products under one roof. The most recent additions to the CAPCO family are in Fort Collins, Colorado, with the addition of a slab location next door to the existing tile branch, and Interior Solutions, a combined effort to showcase tile and stone, custom cabinets and millwork, and high end appliances, located adjacent to the Denver Design Center. Today CAPCO showroom branches serve the entire Rocky Mountain region, from Montana to Colorado and west to Nevada, with the finest selection of imported tile and stone from around the world. Products Italian tile and stone, long associated with timeless style and beauty, is the backbone of CAPCO's product line. CAPCO is privileged to represent over forty factories showcasing porcelain, ceramic, and stone tiles in their ten showrooms. CAPCO purchases the tile directly from the factories, importing the material by container on ships to ports on the east coast. The tile is then transported by rail to Denver where it is delivered to CAPCO's warehouse facility for storage and distribution. CAPCO is a stocking distributor, maintaining a multi-million dollar inventory to ensure the tile or stone you need is there when you need it. Stone slab is imported in much the same way from sources in Italy, Spain, Canada, Brazil, India, and Mexico. In addition, CAPCO has an established network of trading partners domestically to reduce the likelihood of stock shortages. CAPCO's experience and knowledge in the tile and stone market enables them to provide their customer's with the finest products and service in the industry. Distribution In addition to their fine products, CAPCO's strength in customer satisfaction lies within their distribution network. By establishing a system of branches throughout Colorado and in Nevada, CAPCO is able to deliver customer's orders to convenient central locations for pick-up. Each week, CAPCO sends trucks loaded with tile and slab from their central Denver warehouse to its branches throughout the state. CAPCO's trucks continue to Las Vegas and on to the west coast to pick-up materials from suppliers and trading partners. In addition to tile and stone, CAPCO is a distributor of tile setting materials, tools, and other accessories of the trade. These products are also stocked at each branch, making CAPCO truly a one-stop source for our industry customers. CAPCO is proud of our 29 years in the tile and stone industry, our vast selection of beautiful materials from around the world, and to provide the best service in the industry.
