Kalahari Development LLC is planning to build the $1 billion Kalahari Waterpark Resort & Convention Center in North Texas. The 1.2 million-square-foot facility in Allen, Texas would include 900 hotel rooms, an indoor and outdoor waterpark, a convention center and a family entertainment center. The 123-acre site is at the southwest corner of State Highway 121 and Stacy Road. The project would be complete by 2030. Kalahari Resorts, operates locations in Wisconsin, Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Texas.
