
Developers are planning to break ground on a new JW Marriott Resort in St Pete Beach, Florida. The project would add 400 guestrooms in two new hotels including a 10-story, 290 guestroom JW Marriott and a nine-story, 130 guestroom Hampton Inn, and a major renovation of the existing resort at 5300 Gulf Blvd. The resort is on 15.45 acres with 382 guestrooms, 1,465 square feet of office, 8,380 square feet of restaurant space, 570 square feet of retail, as well as 12,404 square feet of ballroom and conference space. The proposed redevelopment would bring the property to 646 guestrooms, reduce office space to 6,500 square feet and double the restaurant, retail and conference space. Columbia Sussex is the project developer. Kimley Horn is the project Architect.
