Steven Mullen and Angus Rogers of Floridays Development, along with Mike Evanoff, plan to build a four-story, 120-guestroom Compass Hotel by Margaritaville in Osprey, Florida, at 120 Bayview Drive. The waterfront property will sit next to Evie’s at Spanish Point restaurant and tiki bar, which will be incorporated into the project. Construction is expected to begin within the next 45 days and take about 15 months to be completed. A site development permit has been issued, and the building permit is still pending. Compass Hotels by Margaritaville is an upscale boutique brand within the Margaritaville family, offering a smaller-scale experience with fewer food and beverage options than the larger Jimmy Buffett Margaritaville hotels and resorts. Plans call for a ground-floor bar, dining area, and banquet space of just under 2,000 square feet. Stellar Sarasota is the general contractor, and Miles Beach of Miles Architecture Group is the architect of record.
