Developer Slawson Cos. has broken ground on an 88 guestroom TownePlace Suites by Marriott hotel at NewMarket Square in west Wichita, Kansas near 21st and Maize Road. The hotel was designed by Alloy Architecture and is being built by Key Construction on a vacant lot located between Bath & Body Works to the north and Walmart to the south. It’s anticipated to open by the end of 2027. Brandon Mason, is director of real estate development for Slawson.
