
Developers are proposing to build a $500 million mixed use development that would include a hotel, restaurants, a sports complex and amusement park in Park City, Kansas. The project known as Champtown is being planned by: Jeff Lange, Rachel Lange-Mills and Ryan Mills of Lange Cos., and developers Sean Crawford and Matt Baty. The project, which will also include an aquarium, butterfly house, retail and entertainment as well as a multi-sport complex with basketball courts and a venue for mixed martial arts and combat events. A grocery store and fuel center, travel center, and movie theater and family entertainment center are also anticipated to be in the project. Construction would begin later this year starting with the baseball fields and be built in phases over a 4 year period. Shelden Architecture is designing the project.
