
Developer McKibbon Hospitality, is planning to build a 13-story dual-branded Marriott hotel, with 310 guestrooms at 111 N. Meridian Ave in Tampa, Florida. The .74-acre vacant site is just north of apartment tower 101 N. Meridian. There will be 175 AC Hotel rooms and 135 Moxy by Marriott rooms. The hotel will include 12,000 square feet of street-level space, a street-level cafe and wine bar and a rooftop restaurant and bar on the 13th floor. The fifth-floor pool deck will include a bodega. There will also be 5,000 square feet of event and meeting space. The hotel is in the design phase, and the company is in talks with lenders and equity partners with a planned Feb.1, 2026, date to begin construction. J.B.
