An eight story, 161-room Hilton Tempo hotel is planned on the former Milwaukee Journal Sentinel block in downtown Milwaukee Wisconsin. The hotel proposed for the corner of West Kilbourn Avenue and North Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Milwaukee would have a ground floor restaurant and a rooftop event space that includes an outdoor terrace. HKS Holdings LLC is the hotel’s developer. The new Hilton Tempo requires Historic Preservation Commission approvals because the Milwaukee Common Council approved an historic designation for that block in 2019. Kahler Slater is the project architect.
