Developers are proposing to build an AC Marriott Hotel at 701 and 705 Church Street in Decatur, Georgia. The project is being designed by Michael Clifford with BCA Studios, for the property owner, 701 Church Street, LLC. The proposal is to demolish the existing commercial building and construct a six-story, 144 guest room AC Hotel with a restaurant terrace on the sixth floor. AC is part of the Marriott brand. The applicant for the hotel project is seeking a special exception to allow for a majority of the parking to be off-site.
