The 1st phase of the Rivers Casino project in Portsmouth Virginia is moving forward with a planned reopening date in late 2023. Developers Rush Street Gaming who’s CEO is Mike Tobin plan to build a hotel in the 2nd phase. The hotel portion is in the planning phase with no size or brand determined. Rush Street plans to invest more than $300 in the project with will begin construction later this year. The project is being designed by Klai Juba Wald. The General contractor is S.B. Ballard Construction.
