Developer Cole Cannon plans to build a $200 million resort and waterpark featuring a three-acre surf lagoon, lazy river, mineral hot springs circuit, resort hotel, dining, entertainment, and business space. Additional attractions include cliff diving, a skateboard park, movie theater, bowling alley, health club, and other indoor recreation facilities. Cannon Beach is a 35-acre development under construction at the northeast corner of Stacy Road and State Highway 121 in McKinney, Texas, is being designed by Cross Architects. The project is a partnership between Cannon, the City of McKinney, the McKinney Economic Development Corporation, and the McKinney Community Development Corporation. The first phase includes mass grading, utilities, roadways, and construction of the surf amenities to be completed by mid-2027. The full development is expected to take four years.
