Developer Dezer Development whose president is Gil Dezer has demolished the Travel Lodge Monaco Hotel located at 17501 Collins Ave Sunny Isles Beach Florida and plans to build a boutique hotel in its place called the Monaco Hotel. The original hotel was built in 1952. The new hotel is in the planning phase which will take 12 months and break ground in the middle or 2021.  The new hotel will be three stories and include 113 guestrooms, a restaurant, game room and underground parking.  Sieger Suarez Architects LLC is designing the project. Feller Steven is the Mechanical Engineers. CHM Structural are the structural engineers. The first phase of the $65 million Kāʻanapali Beach Hotel renovation project in Muai Hawaii is underway, with a redesign of the 180-room Kauaʻi Wing, additional floor parking, a renovation to the courtyard including additional native Hawaiian plants, and the addition of a new beachfront restaurant. Originally build in 1964 the hotel offers 432 guestrooms and a four acre courtyard. The three phase project will be completed in the 4 th quarter 2020 and will include the renovation of the Lanai, Mau and Molokai wings and restaurants. Mike White is the hotel general manager. Swinerton is serving as the construction manager on the project. Dream Hotel Partners is finalizing plans for build a mixed use hotel project at San Antonio’s River Walk. The hotel will be 30 stories and include three other multistory structures that will include office and residential space. The hotel will break ground in the first quarter 2021 and be completed in 2023. It will include 217 guestrooms, multiple dining and nightlife venues, a rooftop pool and 10,000 sf of meeting space. Construction of an Aloft Hotel at 50 Trinity Place in New York City is underway. The reinforced concrete superstructure also includes a pair of angled columns that flank the corner of the project. This section on the lower floors would frame the main entrance to the Aloft Hotel. 50 Trinity Place will include a total of 77,310 square feet and 173 hotel rooms. There will also be a ground-floor restaurant and a guest’s only fitness center on the second floor.  The hotel is being developed by Rinaldi Group and designed by Peter Poon Architects. Gace Consulting, PC is the structural engineer. Rodkin Cardinale, PC the building systems engineer, and RA Consultants LLC the geotecnical engineer. Raymond Management Company has proposed building a nice story Nash Square Hotel and restaurant at the corner of Martin and South Dawson Streets in downtown Raleigh North Carolina. The company owns and manages Hilton Garden Inn, Hampton Inn and Home2Suites Hotels. The proposed hotel will be eight stories on a 0.8 acre site and include 180 guestrooms with enclosed parking deck. The PGA National Resort & Spa in Palm Beach Gardens Florida is undergoing a $100 million renovation. The renovation includes the guestrooms and guestbaths, lobby, bars, clubhouse, restaurants and spa. The property was originally built in 1981 by developer E Llwyd Ecclestone Jr. and includes 339 guestrooms, 42,000 sf of meeting space and an 18-hole golf course. V Starr Interiors is handling the spa redesign. Crescent Hotels & Resorts in the property manager. The hotel is owned by Brookfield Asset Management whose managing director is Shai Zelering. Delta Quad Holdings proposes a 284-room Embassy Suites in the 21-story former Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City headquarters at 925 Grand Blvd. The historic vacant office building would be completed renovated and converted to a full service Embassy Suites Hotel.  The developer has invested $30 million in the project to date and has started interior demolition and asbestos remediation. The Coquille Indian Tribe plans to build a 111-room hotel in south Medford Oregon on land next to its proposed casino. The 63,350-square-foot Hotel at the Cedars would be located at 2355 South Pacific Highway on a 3.6-acre property and employ up to 20 people. The proposed Cedars at Bear Creek Casino, would be built on the site of Roxy Ann Lanes bowling alley and the former site of Kim’s restaurant and would have 650 video gambling machines. In the application filed with the city May 8, the tribe indicated the hotel would have 149 parking spaces and a pool. The parking area would be located on the backside of the hotel, next to the Bear Creek Golf Course.
