North American Properties the owners of Birkdale Village in Huntersville, North Carolina are planning a $180 million expansion plan that will include a 125 guest room hotel, 150 multifamily units, and 122,300 square feet of office space and 26,715 square feet of retail space. Birkdale Village currently includes around 250,000 square feet of retail space, 50,000 square feet of office space and 320 apartments. The project is currently being reviewed by the city planning commission.
