Hotel developer Urban Street Development plans to add 84 guestroom to their existing 142 guestroom Hotel Indigo in Tallahassee, Florida’s College Town District. The company plans to break ground in spring 2024 and complete construction within about 14 months. Once complete, the seven-story hotel will have a total of 231 rooms. Located at 826 W. Gaines St., the boutique hotel debuted in the capital city in 2020. It’s grown to be a destination property for tourists in town for football games in the fall and sports events in the spring, along with business travelers. The additional 60,000 square feet will also include 5,500 square feet of retail space facing Doak Campbell at Gaines Street with the Woodward Avenue roundabout.
