Developer Weyland Ventures is proposing a $500 million mixed-use redevelopment of the former Colgate manufacturing plant at 1410 S. Clark Blvd. in Clarksville, Indiana. The project would include a hotel, convention center, restaurants, courtyards, and a sports complex. The building with the clock tower would be converted into a 175 guest room Marriott hotel, and a separate building would add 145 more Marriott-branded rooms. The hotel is planned for first phase and would connect to a loft-style mixed-use building with retail or coworking space on the first floor and apartments above. Also planned in the first phase is a 200,000-square-foot building connected to the conference center, with 150,000 square feet designated for parking and the remainder used as exhibit hall space. Design work is underway, and construction is expected to begin in 2027.
