Developer MCR is proposing to build a pair of new hotels on a 20.6-acre site at 5101 Blue Lagoon Dr in Miami, Florida next to the airport. It currently has a 14-story, 508-room hotel that was developed on the waterfront site in 1983. The two new hotels would have a total of 1000 guestrooms. The two new hotels would have pool decks on the sixth floor. The rooms would range from 324 to 855 square feet. There would be two new garages serving the existing Hilton: a seven-story garage with 419 spaces for self-parking and a five-story garage with 266 spaces for valet parking. Plus, each new hotel would have a six-story garage with 297 spaces. Behar Font & Partners is the project Architect.
