Omni Hotels & Resorts plans to build a 1,000 guest room hotel at 621 St. Louis Street, across from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Lousianna. The $600 million project would replace the Sugar Mill site with a 27-story hotel. Omni is partnering with The Berger Company, Inc on the project; Farouki Farouki is serving as interior designer and architect, and Ryan Gootee is the general contractor. Construction will begin in late 2026 and finish in 2029.
