A $46 million AC Hotel by Marriott is planned at the Bonstelle Theatre development project in Detroit Michigan’s Brush Park neighborhood. Construction on the 10-story, 153-room hotel will start this summer and be complete by late 2021. The Detroit project includes a full renovation of the theater to its original 1903 Albert Kahn-designed exterior and 1925 C. Howard Crane-designed interior. It will also include a 4,000-square-foot glass conservatory fronting Woodward Avenue. The hotel is being developed by Roxbury Group and will be managed by Azul Hospitality Group. Design for the project is by Patrick Thompson Design. Christman Co. is the general contractor. David Di Rita is principal of the Roxbury Group. The hotel is a ground-up development to the north of the theater and will be connected to it via the glass conservatory. The theater space will be used for hotel-related events and available to the public to rent.  For more information on this and other upcoming hotel construction and renovation projects in the planning, design, pre-construction and construction phase including who is involved and their contact information and Preferred Vendor Directory please visit: HotelProjectLeads.com and subscribe today.
