Developer R.M. Rowill Corporation is planning a mixed use hotel projects at 1588 Ala Moana, in Honolulu, Hawaii which would replace Macy’s parking lot with a 38-story, 300-room hotel and a 17-story tower containing 136 condominiums and 69 affordable rentals. The Honolulu City Council recently approved the project. Construction still requires detailed plan, traffic, construction, and final permit approvals.
