Hotel developer HRI Hospitality plans the renovate the 18-story Arrott building located at 401 Wood Street in downtown Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and convert the property to a boutique hotel called the Industrialist Autograph Collection. The historic Arrott building was building in 1902 as an office building. The new hotel will include 124 guestrooms and the lobby will have two rooms with more than 1,100 square feet of meeting space which will seat 48 with eight round tables, and the library, which will seat 10 boardroom style. A social lounge will serve specialty drinks and small bites, including coffee in the mornings. Among the guest rooms will be 12 suites with views of the Monongahela River. The upscale décor will include  brass fixtures, luxe textiles and smoked glass. The hotel will be pet-friendly and will have a fitness center.  Room rates will range from $199 to $599. HRI plans to complete the project in Q4 2020.
