Work has begun on the Hard Rock Hotel in Edwardsville Kansas. The 241-room hotel and event center is as part of a larger development called Village South. The hotel will be located at the southeast corner of Interstate 70 and 110th Street. Along with additional amenities, the hotel will have a rooftop bar that looks toward the Kansas Speed Way. Developer One10 Hotel HRKC LLC and Fogel-Anderson Construction started work on Wednesday. The hotel will to open in summer 2021 and be managed by Evolution Hospitality. The 11-story hotel will include two restaurants, a lobby bar, a Hard Rock retail store, a coffee shop, the VIP lounge on the rooftop and 50,000-square-foot event center.
