The 17-story, 395-suite Hilton Universal City at 555 Universal Hollywood Drive in Universal City, California is planning an addition. Construction is expected to start in 2023 and be completed in 2025. Mark Davis, chief executive Sun Hill Properties Inc. owns the hotel and is planning the expansion. Developer Sun Hill intends to add 395 new rooms to the 24-story hotel’s existing 495 suites by building the new addition on an adjacent site. The plan also calls for the creation of a parking garage that can accommodate 408 vehicles as well as a restaurant, conference rooms and rooftop pool. The hotel extension, designed by Large Architecture, will scale 230 feet high.
