Under proposed plans an industrial site in the Derby City’s Old Louisville neighborhood would be repurposed to include apartments, a hotel and a grocery store, and other uses. Developer Vintage South Development, filed an application with Louisville Kentucky Metro Planning and Design Services to convert 32 acres at West Ormsby and West Magnolia avenues at the former Voght Machine Co. property into a mixed-use development. The address for the plan is 1000 W. Ormsby Ave and calls for 492 residential units, including a 552,000-square foot apartment building, a restaurant and retail space, a seven-story, 87-room hotel, a pool bar and lounge, multiple ballrooms, a brewery/distillery, a children’s museum and library, an entertainment venue, an office and museum building, a food-and-beverage complex, a grocery store and additional office and retail space. Vintage South Development founder is Nathan Lyons.
