Developers have announced plans for a $430 million mixed-use development featuring three high-rise structures in the Crossroads Arts District, located west of the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, Missouri. EPC Real Estate Group LLC, in partnership with builder Dan Carr, intends to construct a $121.6 million upscale, full-service hotel comprising 282 rooms, a flagship restaurant, and a rooftop cocktail lounge at the southwest corner of 16th Street and Broadway Boulevard, adjacent to Interstate 35. The proposed luxury hotel at 16th and Broadway will rise 15 stories, reaching an estimated height of 175 feet above Broadway. It will provide direct access to the new office building, which is planned as an 11-story structure containing 124,000 square feet of rentable space distributed across six floors above a multi-level parking garage. Hoefer Welker has been selected as the project architect.
