Construction is planned to begin on a SpringHill Suites, a hotel in Menomonee Falls Wisconsin. The project is due for completion in 2023. The 103-room hotel will be part of the Whitestone Station mixed-use development south of Interstate 41/Highway 45, between Pilgrim Road and Water Street. The hotel will be on the west side of Falls Parkway between the Home2Suites hotel and Café Zupas. The hotel will include a business center, fitness center, indoor swimming pool and outdoor spaces featuring a fire pit. It is being developed by Cobalt Partners LLC; Kinseth Hospitality Cos. and American Construction Services.

Developer Insignia Hospitality Group Inc. is planning a five story AC Hotel by Marriott at Broadstone and Palladio Parkways in Folsom California. The AC Hotel by Marriott at the Palladio would have 130 rooms and eight executive suites, up from 127 rooms and seven executive suites. The first floor of the hotel would be taken up by features including a lobby/lounge, breakfast area, lobby bar, fitness center and business functions. In layout, the hotel would be an L-shaped building with a drop-off location facing parking and a corner outdoor patio. Mayse & Associates, is the project architect.

Plans have been submitted to build the first of multiple phases at a project called Dadeland Hyve in South Miami Florida. Dadeland Hyve Phase 1 is proposed to include: 275 residential units and 502 parking spots. When all phases are complete Dadeland Hyve is planned to have two new 25-story condo towers, a hotel, a 25-story office tower, and parking, retail and restaurants. Phase 2 of the project will have 309 residential units and will be submitted later. Keystone is the project developer. Nelson Worldwide is the architect.

Hotel developer Harbinger Development plans to renovate two connected buildings off Post Office Square in Boston Massachusetts at 13-15 and 19 Congress Street. The properties have been approved for redevelopment into a 116 room hotel. Harbinger has completed several hotel developments in the Boston area including a Canopy by Hilton, Hampton Inn, Homewood Suites and Aloft Hotel.

Ascent St. Petersburg Florida, a 36-story mixed-use building currently under construction in downtown St. Pete, has topped out. The project, which is located at northwest corner of 1st Avenue North and 2nd Street, is being developed by Greystar Real Estate Partners and will feature 357 apartments along with a 172-key AC Hotel by Marriott. The ground floor of the building will feature a residential and hotel lobby along with ample retail and restaurant space. Along 1st Avenue North will sit a 3,200 square foot residential lobby and leasing office and 5,600 square feet of retail space. Fronting 2nd Street North will be a 2,500 square foot hotel lobby and 1,200 square feet of retail space. The hotel lobby will include a hotel bar and lounge area. The AC Hotel will feature a rooftop terrace with a Cuban-inspired restaurant and bar designed by Ellis Adams Group named Cane & Barrel. The hotel is being developed in partnership with Concord Hospitality with the hotel’s interiors designed by DLR Group. The apartment portion of the project will start at level 6 and rise 36-stories­ while the hotel portion will start at level 2 and rise eight stories. David King is Director of Development at Greystar. Greystar is also serving as the general contractor for the project. The AC Hotel by Marriott St. Petersburg is expected to open in early 2023.

Developers are planning a project that would convert the historic former Hale Mill in Norwich Connecticut into a hotel. Gabi Benhamo, owner and developer for Mill Development LLC is proposing the project, an estimated $26 million renovation of the vacant mill into a 164-room boutique hotel with a restaurant, indoor pool, salon and 500-seat banquet hall. Construction is ready to start as soon as the council votes on the abatement plan. The property is located at 140 Yantic Road.
