The Clermont Florida City Council has approved the construction of the 50 guestrooms boutique Elyksian Waterfront Hotel designed for Elite Athletes. The proposed four-star hotel will be in the center of a coast-to-coast trail running from the Atlantic Ocean to the Gulf of Mexico. The project is being developed by Roman Brana of Epic Cycles World and a team of investors which overlooks Lake Minneola and the South Lake Trails. The Elyksian is scheduled to break ground in 2021. A 12-story 150 guestroom AC Marriott Hotel is planned at 370 S Garfield Street is the Cherry Creek area of Denver Colorado. The hotel is being built by Sunridge Hotel Group which has submitted development plans to the city. The one-story retail building on the property has yet to be demolished.

The Santa Barbara Planning Commission gave unanimous support to build a luxury hotel project on the corner of East Cabrillo Boulevard and South Calle Cesar Chavez in Santa Barbara California. Developer Robert Green Company is building the 86 guestrooms hotel. The development would include a detached one-story retail building, patios, gardens, a spa and electric vehicle parking spaces. The hotel’s bar would be open to the public.

Dezer Development is moving forward with plans to transform Intracoastal Mall in North Miami Beach Florida into a high-rise, mixed-use community including hotels. The planning board voted 5 to 2 in favor of zoning amendments that will allow Dezer Development to replace the one-story, 234,000-square-foot Intracoastal Mall with a development of more than 2 million square feet. Plans include 35-foot tall townhouses, 85-foot tall apartment buildings, and high-rises ranging between 160 feet to 495 feet in height and to build a 250-room hotel. The project that will include 2,000 residential units, 375,000 square feet of retail, 200,000 square feet of office, the 250-room hotel, and a new canal. The development agreement also includes 8 acres of parks, a transportation bus hub and water taxi. The project, which will be built in phases, is projected to be completed by 2031. Bernard Zyscovich, is the architect and planner designing Intracoastal Mall’s new site plan.

San Diego Loyal SC, the expansion USL Championship franchise has partnered with a group called Midway Sports & Entertainment District (MSED) on a plan to update 48 acres of prime real estate at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena. Their plan includes a $125 million modernization of the sports arena and adding a new 15,000-seat soccer venue. A 12-acre public park with emphasis on fitness and youth sports. A new 3,500-seat music venue. 1,442 housing units, of which at least 10% will be affordable housing units (60% area median income) and built by BRIDGE Housing. 185,000 square feet of office space. 106,500 square feet of retail space. 250 hotel rooms. 3,004 parking spaces: 1,800 event parking and 1,204 mixed-use parking. The project is planned to begin construction in 2022 and finish in 2029.

A four-story, 137 guestroom Park Place Hotel is planned across from the police department in Annapolis Maryland along Taylor Ave and West Street as part of the Park Place development. The project is being developed by JBJ Management Company and is being reviewed by the city planning commission.  The hotel is being designed by Hammond Wilson Architects and is estimated to cost $35 million.

Developer CMR Properties and Lafrance Hospitality are proposing to build the Marriott branded Cranmore Mountain Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire. The project is currently in site planning and subdivision review to demolish the Cranmore Fitness Center and construct a four-story, 90-room hotel at 165 Skimobile Road. Josh McAllister of HEB Engineers is preforming the site design and engineering. The proposed hotel would be located in the Recreation Resort District on the site of the current Artist Falls Lodge, which until recently was home to Cranmore Fitness and would be considered a supporting use to the Cranmore ski resort.

Riverwalk Place a mixed use tower including a hotel and hotel branded condo is planned for downtown Tampa Florida. The building will be 37 floors. The first 13 stories will include a luxury hotel with 222 rooms and a pool overlooking the river, the hotel company has not been announced. Floors 14 through 36 will be hotel-branded condominiums. The 37th floor will be a residents-only rooftop lounge with another pool and fitness facility overlooking Tampa Bay. On the ground along the Riverwalk, the plans includes a cafe and open-air restaurant. The site is located at 102 E Whiting Street on the Hillsborough River. Two Roads Development whose principal is Taylor Collins is developing the property.  Architecture firm Arquitectonica is designing the project.

The San Ramon Planning Commission is reviewing plans for the construction of a 169-room hotel on the Bishop Ranch property in San Ramon California. Proposed to be located on the southeast corner of the Camino Ramon and Bishop Drive intersection, the City Center Hotel is designed to form a U shape and consist of five stories covering 115,496 square feet. Hotel, amenities would include a restaurant, bar, outdoor pool, outdoor event space and an associated parking area. The hotel has long been a part of the City Center Mixed Use Master Plan, which also consists of creating 4,500 multi-family housing units covering approximately 135 acres in the heart of the Bishop Ranch property. In addition to the 169-room hotel, other amenities proposed to be included in the area’s development include a number of new parks and new parking structures that will replace existing surface parking lots. The project is being built by Sunset Development.

Ground has been broken on a new dual-branded Courtyard Marriott & Springhill Suites Hotel tower located at 2006 North Ocean Blvd in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. The $50 million project includes a 25 story, 201,000 square foot hotel at a location that housed the Breakers Resort that is currently being demolished. The hotel will have 230 guestrooms with associated amenities outdoor water features including an outdoor pool, a lazy river, laundry units on each floor, a top-floor restaurant and bar, including outdoor seating with a glass floor on the ocean side of the building. The project owner is MB National LLC and the architect is LS3P Associates LTD. Brittain Resorts & Hotels is the property manager. Dargan Construction Company is the project general contractor. The project will be completed in the springs of 2022.
