Developers at Loews Hotels and Co. and The Cordish Companies plan a new 888 room hotel and convention center and an apartment complex attached to Globe Life Park in Arlington Texas. Loews Hotels will break ground on a new Arlington hotel in the city’s entertainment district, near Live! by Loews. The Arlington city council Tuesday unanimously approved both the hotel and developments by the Cordish Companies.
The Cordish Companies will expand Texas Live, the entertainment district build around the new Rangers stadium in a partnership with the team, and introduce a new apartment complex and office building. The developer is investing all $550 and developers will begin construction in 2020 and finish in 2023. Loews plans to include 888 rooms and 150,000 square feet of meeting, convention and exhibition space in the new hotel. With a sky bridge connecting the new hotel to the existing Live! by Loews.
