Construction will start the summer of 2023 on the $350 million Lake of the Ozarks resort and amusement park in Missouri. That will include a $180 million 400 guestroom Marriott hotel, which will be built alongside an amusement park, indoor water park and conference center. The project is being planned by SkyView Partners and Tegethoff Development, along with Fred Ross, of Big Thunder Marine. The project, at Highway 54 and Jeffries Road in Osage Beach, adjacent to the Grand Glaize Bridge. Site work and infrastructure for the entire 25-acre site is scheduled to begin this summer, with construction on the hotel, amusement park and 1,000-space parking garage kicking off simultaneously. The amusement park and parking garage are scheduled to open in summer 2024. The hotel and indoor water park will finish construction by 2026. The new Marriott Hotels resort will have a 26,000-square-foot conference center, a full-service spa, restaurants, an outdoor pool, pickleball courts and a fitness center. The Marriott will be located next to the 50,000-square-foot enclosed water park that will be built by OpenAire, a designer, manufacturer and installer of custom retractable roof structures. The water park will be operated by water park management company American Resort Management. The 25-acre amusement park consists of roller coasters, thrill and family rides, and a 200-foot-tall Ferris wheel. The hotel will be managed by Aimbridge Hospitality. Jeff Tegethoff, is the principal of Tegethoff Development.
