A mixed use project including a hotel has been approved for Meza, Arizona. The project would include a 124 guest room extended stay hotel and commercial retail center near Banner Gateway Medical Center. The project called Avalon Ranch, would be located at the southeast corner of Power and Elliot roads, just across the street from a future massive mixed-use project. Avalon Ranch is being proposed by Avalon Development. Avalon also filed an application with the city of Mesa for an Aldi grocery store at the site that has since received approval. Other plans for Avalon Ranch include EOS Fitness, 7-Eleven and Valvoline Auto Center.

The Montgomery County Convention Facilities Authority (MCCFA) is proposing to build a new full service hotel at the site adjacent to the Dayton, Ohio Convention Center at the city plaza location on S. Jefferson Street, between E. Fifth and Stone Streets. The hotel is estimated to cost between $60 million and $80 million with plans to break ground in 2025. Preliminary site plans is for a 12-floor hotel with200 guest rooms as well as a 2,500-square-foot restaurant and 5,200-square-foot entertainment, retail & civic space a fitness center, terrace and rooftop bar. Meyers + Associates is the project Architect.

A new four-story Marriott branded hotel is planned for the Memphis Tennessee area and is one of the first in the U.S. The 124 guestroom StudioRes by Marriott hotel is planned for the area near Ikea in Cordova located at the intersection of Market Farms Drive and Ikea Way. The project team includes: Bowman Consulting Group and Market Farms Hospitality LLC. StudioRes was introduced by Marriott last year as an extended stay concept with affordable prices for both guests and hotel owners. StudioRes is focused on a smart, modern, and functional design to accommodate individual customers’ lengthier stays.

A new dual-branded hotel is set to break ground in May 2024 at the USAA campus and master-planned Norterra community in Phoenix, Arizona. Developers Jackson-Shaw Co. and Holualoa Cos. are building the AC Hotel by Marriott North Phoenix and Element by Westin North Phoenix. The four-story hotels will open sometime in late 2025, the developers announced April 15. The AC Hotel will include 179 guest rooms. The Element by Westin includes 95 rooms designed for extended stays. The 160,133-square-foot property will include 8,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, two deluxe suites, two group communal rooms, a fitness center and resort-style courtyard with a saline pool, heated spa and event lawn. Construction financing is being provided by Simmons Bank. Layton Construction is building the project, which was designed by architect Cooper Carry. The interior designer is DiLeonardo. The two hotels will be located on about three acres near the Shops at Norterra at 25100 N. 22nd Lane at the northeast corner of Happy Valley Road and Norterra Parkway.

Developers are proposing to build a convention hotel in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania that would be attached to the David L Lawrence Convention Center. Loews Hotels & Company would develop, build and manage the hotel featuring at least 500 rooms on the Downtown side of the convention center, according to sources. The project, estimated at more than $400 million, would utilize two parking lots at Penn Avenue and 10th Street that have long been reserved for such a development. The full-service hotel would feature meeting rooms, a ballroom, a swimming pool and fitness space, a restaurant and bar, and an outdoor event space. Several levels would connect directly into the convention center.
