Developer Sing Ming Chan is proposing to build a 25-story 106 guestroom in Boston, Massachusetts’ Chinatown neighborhood. The hotel at 15-25 Harrison Ave.is a parcel of less than a tenth of an acre that is currently home to a vacant, dilapidated five-story building. The Chinatown hotel would feature just under 80,000 square feet of space. Group One is the project designer.

Developers are planning to build a 9 story, 159 guest room AC Marriott Hotel that will include a lobby bar and a rooftop restaurant called The Bristol in downtown Greensboro, North Carolina. The hotel is part of the Parkside mixed use project planned by the Carroll Cos. The project will also include 337 upscale apartments, 16,000 square feet of retail space and a 4,500-square foot event space that will be able to seat 200 to 300 people. Madison Carroll Snyder is the director of hotel operations for Carroll Cos.

A StudioRes by Marriott extended-stay hotel is planned for Southwest Jacksonville, Florida in the Collins Town Center. The project is being proposed by Noble Investment Group and designed by BRR Architecture. Plans for the four-story, $9.9 million, 55,820-square-foot hotel at 8045 Parramore Road south of Interstate 295 are being reviewed by the city. StudioRes hotels feature fully furnished studios, queen beds and a kitchen. The shared spaces include a fitness room, guest-paid laundry, covered patio and vending area.

Developers are planning to build a new Marriott branded extended stay TownePlace Suites hotel in Lyndhurst, New Jersey at MetLife Stadium. The proposed 128 guest room hotel is being developed by BDG Hotels on an 8-acre property at 1201 Wall St West just south of the Route 17 and Route 3 interchange. The project would be completed toward the end of 2025 and is being financed by Cronheim Hotel Capital.

The Kimpton branded boutique hotel is being planned for the corner of North Markley and Rhett streets in the West End of downtown Greenville, South Carolina. The 134 guestroom hotel located at 100 N Markley St is being proposed by Hostmark Hospitality Group. It would also include 26 condos and 9,500 sf of retail space. Construction of the project is expected to begin in October 2024 and be completed in December 2026.

Developer InterMountain Management LLC plans to build a new hotel on 1.1 acres on Loisdale Road at the Springfield Town Center in Springfield, Virginia on the mall’s western edge. The new project will include a 165 guest room, 109,000-square-foot hotel. Renderings submitted in the application show a Home2 Suites.

Developer HCW Development plans to build a four-story, 100,000-square-foot AC Hotel by Marriott at the southwest corner of 115th Street and Nall Avenue on the Aspiria campus in Overland Park, Kansas. The 125 guestroom Marriott would be an extended ‘V’ shape. Amenities include an outdoor swimming pool and waterfall feature on the northwest corner of the property, between the hotel building and 115th Street. LK Architecture is designing the project and BHG is the civil engineer. The hotel is planned to open in 2026.
