A new Holiday Inn Express Hotel is being planned for Downtown Maryville Tennessee. The $16 million 98 guestroom hotel would be located on West Broadway Ave. Construction is set to begin in the 2nd quarter of 2024 and take one year to complete. The hotel as planned will be four floors with a two-floor parking garage underneath. The project is being designed by Mark Rondolph, president of Randolph Architecture.

Hotel developer Concord Hospitality is planning to build a WoodSpring Suites extended stay hotel at 6420 Capital Blvd, Raleigh, North Carolina. The project is part of the Marketplace at Ellis Crossing a mixed use development that will include a supermarket, restaurants, office, retail, restaurant and apartments.  Thompson Thrift is the project’s master developer which is currently under review with the city of Durham.

Developer Villagio Hospitality Group is partnering with Holladay Properties to build a Tempo by Hilton Hotel at Farm Brew Live, a dining and entertainment campus near Manassas, Virginia. The 92 guestroom, 60,000-square-foot property is expected to open in the 2nd half of 2025 and will include an open lobby design, multifunctional common spaces and premium food and beverage outlets including a cafe, wine bar and speakeasy. Farm Brew Live is located at 9901 Discovery Blvd., near the intersection of State Route 234 and U.S. 29. Austin Haynes, development manager at Holladay Properties.

Hotel developer Jaswinder Dhami is planned to build a Hilton branded Home2 Suites hotel at 4011 N. Carson Street in Carson City, Nevada. The proposed property will be 54 feet tall and contain 91 guestrooms. The Home 2 Suites facility would consist of approximately 60,000 square feet and four stories. The $20 million project will be a high-end hotel with full kitchens for long term guests. Dhami’s company NV Hospitality also built the nearby Holiday Inn Express 20 years ago.

Developers have proposed to build a new hotel in downtown Detroit Michigan next to the Huntington Place convention center. The 600 guest room, 25-story hotel would be built near the former site of Joe Louis Arena and connect to the convention center. It also would neighbor a newly constructed 25-story upscale apartments tower, which is nearly finished and set to open early next year. The new hotel’s developer is The Sterling Group. The hotel would be along the riverfront and have 20 floors of guest rooms atop five podium floors containing a restaurant, lobby bar, two ballrooms, a swimming pool and 50,000 square feet of meeting rooms, according to the project’s meeting notice. Construction could start as soon as the second quarter of 2024.

Developers Fortune International Group and Oak Capital obtained a $259 million construction loan to move forward with the Ritz-Carlton Condo Hotel & Residences, in Pompano Beach, Florida. Bank OZK provided the mortgage to the developers for the two-tower project on 4.6 acres at 1380 S. Ocean Blvd.   The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Pompano beach will feature a 32-story tower along the beach with 117 condos and a 14-story condo on the Intracoastal Waterway with 88 condos. The project will have over 35,000 square feet of amenities, including pools, sports courts, a beach club, a marina, and resident-only restaurants. There will also be several suites that condo owners can rent out for guests. Edgardo Defortuna is president of Fortune International. Ricardo Dunin is CEO of Oak Capital. Revuelta Architecture International designed the project and Piero Lissoni handled the interiors and landscaping. The project will be completed in 2025.

Developer Hunt Realty Investments plans to redevelop 20 acres around the Reunion Tower in downtown Dallas, Texas at a cost of $5 billion, The Dallas Morning News reported. The project located next to the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center that the city plans to begin building next year. Hunt’s plan calls for constructing a dozen new high-rise residential and commercial buildings with up to 3,000 apartment units, a hotel with 600 to 1,000 rooms, 150,000 square feet of retail space and 2 million square feet of office space, as well as a 3- to 4-acre park. It also plans to redevelop the historic Union Station, located across the railroad tracks from Reunion Tower. The first phase of construction will include hotel, retail, dining and entertainment real estate to support the convention center, and affordable apartments.  Hart Howerton architects prepared the new master plan.

Developers Urban Network Capital Group (UNCG) and Vertical Developments have secured a $24.5 million construction loan from Rok Lending for a boutique condo-hotel development in Miami, Florida’s Brickell district. Named the Visions at Brickell Station, the eight-story project will include 111 units at 1136 SW 3rd Avenue, two blocks west of the Brickell Metromover station. Amenities will include a spa, gym, event space, and a rooftop pool. The development, which is estimated to cost $45 million in total, is geared towards investors. Under the condo-hotel ownership model, owners will be able to stay at their unit for up to 30 days. The rest of the time, a hotel management company will rent out the residences. Construction is scheduled to be completed in 2025.

Construction of the proposed Grand Hyatt Resort Hotel in Seaside, California has been approved to move forward. The hotel would include 330 guest rooms, a conference center with meeting rooms, restaurants, lobby bar, service kitchen, administrative offices, food and beverage, spa and fitness center, and service circulation areas. The seven story hotel would also include an outdoor swimming pool adjacent to the hotel, 195,000 sf of guestrooms, 35,000 sf of meeting space, 14,000 sf of restaurants, 14,000 sf spa and fitness space and a large exterior courtyard. The project is being developed by Seaside Peninsula Acquisition Group. Adolfo Gonzales is the project manager with the city of Seaside. EMC Planning Group is handing land development, Brian Murch with DLR Group is the project Architect. A Sundt Construction of the general contractor.
