Genting Group and Resorts World have begun construction on Phase 2 of a casino hotel expansion in Jamaica, New York. The project will add hotel rooms, a performance venue, expanded gaming space, and new food and beverage options. When completed in 2031, the phase will include 2,000 additional slots and electronic table games, plus 400 table games. Once the full $5.5 billion expansion is finished, Resorts World will include 2,000 hotel rooms, more than 10 acres of public green space, approximately 6,000 slots and electronic table games, and 800 table games. Robert DeSalvio is president of Genting Americas. Perkins Eastman is the lead architect, Plaza Construction is the general contractor, DeSimone is the structural engineer, Langan is the civil engineer, and Cosentini Associates is the MEP engineer.
