The Brewery District development, located at 477 S. Front St in Columbus Ohio, was awarded the tax credits and will be renovated and converted to a Boutique Hotel and mixed use project.
Plans for the complex, include a boutique hotel, office and co-working space, a spa and fitness facility, several event spaces and a brewery.
The tax credits, which are awarded by the state twice a year, are used by developers to help close funding gaps for historic renovation projects that would otherwise prove challenging to complete.
Dwight McCabe of the McCabe Companies is the developer behind the $70 million project which includes $5 million in Ohio Historic Preservation Tax Credits.
