Developers are proposing to build a convention hotel in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania that would be attached to the David L Lawrence Convention Center. Loews Hotels & Company would develop, build and manage the hotel featuring at least 500 rooms on the Downtown side of the convention center, according to sources. The project, estimated at more than $400 million, would utilize two parking lots at Penn Avenue and 10th Street that have long been reserved for such a development. The full-service hotel would feature meeting rooms, a ballroom, a swimming pool and fitness space, a restaurant and bar, and an outdoor event space. Several levels would connect directly into the convention center.

Developer Beechwood Organization is planning to build a four story, 402,450-square-foot extended-stay hotel that will replace an existing industrial building on 10.3 acres at 125 Spagnoli Road in Melville, NY. The Ferncliff Hotel, a $137.4 million project will have studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units, which will be available for overnight, weekly, monthly or a longer-term stay. Amenities at the hotel will include two interior courtyards, fitness center, swimming pools with surrounding patios, restaurant, bar, dog park, grilling stations and a rooftop patio. Steven Dubb is principal of Beechwood. The Ferncliff Hotel is expected to open in the summer of 2027.

The project sits on 1.4 acres directly behind the mall, which is located at 1800 Four Seasons Blvd. The project is being proposed by, Philip Cox of Mitch Cox Companies and would by flagged as Wyndham’s Echo Suites extended stay brand.

Developer Summa Development Group plans to build a 33-story skyscraper with a JW Marriott-branded hotel on a 1.5-acre site located at 319 E Church St in downtown Orlando, Florida. The new tower is expected to have 228 hotel guestrooms, 129 condos, two restaurants, a conference center and an integrated parking garage. The project is being designed by DLR Group. Albert Socol is principal of Summa Development Group.

Developer Hallmark Hospitality and project designer Zeidler Architecture have unveiled plans for a boutique hotel at: 901 West Broadway in Vancouver, British Columbia. Situated at the intersection of West B’dway and Laurel St., the 12-storey tower will feature 151 guestrooms and a three-level parking garage. The hotel’s standout design feature is a gradated facade merging with a brick-laced podium, echoing Broadway’s historic architecture. Large offset panels create a shimmering effect, accentuated by a brushed metal panel system. Each side of the facade maximizes views and light exposure. Inside, floor-to-ceiling windows offer guests expansive city views. James Brown is project designer with Zeidler Architecture.

Developers Jas Bhogal and Thomas Calus are proposing to redevelop the Alexandria Hotel in Boston, Massachusetts. The proposal is to retain and restore the hotel’s facade, demolish the deteriorated building behind that facade, and build a new 12-story, 150 room hotel in its place. CBT is the project’s primary architect.
