The Ally Charlotte Center project along Stonewall Street in Charlotte North Carolina will include a 381-room JW Marriott, expected to open spring 2021. White Lodging is developing the hotel, which will be the first location in the Carolinas for the brand. The hotel’s amenities include a full-service luxury spa, a co-working lounge, and an outdoor terrace with a swimming pool and bar. It also will have 22,000 square feet of meeting and event space, two ballrooms and nearly 7,000 square feet of additional breakout space. The Ally Charlotte Center development, by Crescent Communities, also includes a 26-story office tower anchored by Ally Financial and 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail. Crescent and general contractor Brasfield & Gorrie celebrated the topping out of the building in July, which marks the completion of vertical construction.
The 3.5-acre property, once home to the now-demolished Goodyear auto shop, is surrounded by construction, including the nearby 10-acre Legacy Union project, developed Lincoln Harris. The JW Marriott Hotel is being design by HKS Inc.  For more information on this and other upcoming hotel construction and renovation projects in the planning, design, pre-construction and construction phase including who is involved and their contact information and Preferred Vendor Directory please visit: HotelProjectLeads.com and subscribe today.
