Developer Dezer Development whose president is Gil Dezer has demolished the Travel Lodge Monaco Hotel located at 17501 Collins Ave Sunny Isles Beach Florida and plans to build a boutique hotel in its place called the Monaco Hotel. The original hotel was built in 1952. The new hotel is in the planning phase which will take 12 months and break ground in the middle or 2021. The new hotel will be three stories and include 113 guestrooms, a restaurant, game room and underground parking. Sieger Suarez Architects LLC is designing the project. Feller Steven is the Mechanical Engineers. CHM Structural are the structural engineers. EGS2 Corp are the landscape architects and Fortin, Leavy Skiles Inc are the civil engineers.
