A new hotel is planned that will replace the Louise Douglas Apartments on Elliston Place within the Rock Block, in Nashville Tennessee. The project is planned for a fall start and is being designed by Southeast Venture Architects. The hotel will be branded as a Holiday Inn Express offering 168 rooms on eight floors located across West End Avenue from Vanderbilt University. The developer Elliston Hospitality LLC, which is affiliated with hotel development company JV Hospitality, owns the property, having acquired it for $6.5 million in July 2019. Janak Patel is Elliston Hospitality managing partner. Ragan-Smith Associates is the project civil engineer.
