Developers are proposing to build a TownePlace Suites by Marriott Hotel in Duluth, Minnesota. Located at 1520 Sundby Rd the project partners include Northridge Hospitality Management and Kinseth Hospitality Companies. LK Architecture serving as the projects’ designer and North Shore Bank providing financing for the project.  The project is currently going through the approval process with the city planning department.

A developer has proposed a boutique hotel in Miami Florida’s Brickell neighborhood. Planned by Habitus Brickell Off A LLC, managed by Mauricio Magana of Habitus Capital, the hotel would be built on a 5,850-square-foot lot with an old duplex at 1511 S.W. Second Ave. The eight-story hotel totaling 35,497 square feet, would consist of 40 rooms and seven parking spaces. Amenities would include a roof deck with a plunge pool and a small gym. The developer would contract with Reef for valet parking. The hotel rooms would range from 517 to 902 square feet. Attorney Carli Koshal, represents the developer in the application. MKDA designed the project. The hotel would be flagged under the hospitality brand Sonder, which operates in more than 40 cities.

Developers are planning to build a Ritz Carlton condo residences on a residential site on Lake Woodlands, Texas. Developed by Howard Hughes Corp it will sit on 8 acres will have access to personalized services, on-site dining and a range of amenities. Ritz-Carlton Residences are in more than a dozen international markets, 12 states and the District of Columbia. No timeline has been set for the project. The Woodlands was founded in 1974, and Howard Hughes Corp bought The Woodlands Development Company in 2011.

Developer Galaxy Commercial Holdings filed an application with the Los Angeles California Department of City Planning seeking approvals for a larger mixed-use complex at 6800 Sunset Boulevard. The proposed project is described as a two-building development highlighted by a new 42-story tower featuring 298 studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom apartments and 115 hotel rooms, as well as ground-floor commercial space. Plans also call for a 12-story building which would feature 80 units of affordable housing for seniors. Gensler is designing the tower complex named Sunset & Highland for its location, with OJB is the landscape architect.

Developer BH Group is proposing to build a condo and hotel tower across from Gulfstream Park & Casino in Hallandale Beach Florida at 804 S Federal Highway just west of the racetrack, casino and entertainment complex. The project would total 337,380 square feet in 14 stories, with 138 condo/hotel units, 60 condos, 4,000 square feet of retail and 284 parking spaces. There would be a rooftop amenity deck featuring a pool, fitness center and club room. There would also be a 2,450-square-foot public plaza on the corner of Federal Highway and Southeast Eighth Street with a fountain. Cohen Freedman Encinosa & Associates is designing the project. BH Group is led by Isaac Toledano and Liat Toledano.

Developers are planning a new hotel and mixed use development in downtown Raleigh, North Carolina to the east side of Moore Square. Loden Hospitality has put together a plan that would include a new apartment building with up to 590 apartments.  The plan also includes a 135-room hotel, a medium-sized grocery store along with retail and dining space. South of Moore Square, the developer is also making plans to redevelop parts of City Market. That plan includes a second boutique hotel with up to 160 rooms. Co-working and creative space in the form of audio/recording production and art studios tied to the hotel would be included in that plan. A more defined plan for the east and south redevelopment projects is expected by the spring of next year.

The 164 guest room Somm Hotel and Spa at the center of the $700 million Harvest development in Woodinville, Washington has broken ground expected to open summer 2025 at 14485 Redmond-Woodinville Road NE. Developed by Woodinville Hotel Partners led by President, Kent Halvorson the $52 million project was financed by Hall Structured Finance. Alco Investment Co. is an equity partner in the project. In addition to the hotel, the 20-acre Harvest project from developer will hold 100,000 square feet of retail space and over 400 residential units. Columbia Hospitality will manage and operate the hotel, which is part of Marriott’s Autograph Collection. It will include a full-service restaurant and bar named Bin 47, a spa with rooftop treatment tents and hot tubs, a rooftop bar, ballroom and multiple meeting rooms. Jensen Design Architects is the designer. The interiors are by Sixteen-Fifty Creative. Sierra Construction Co. is the general contractor.

Developer Zachry Hospitality has secured a construction loan and will soon break ground on a Hilton Curio Collection Hotel in downtown San Antonio, Texas at the southeast corner of East Market Street and South Alamo Street. The Curio Collection by Hilton hotel will include 200 hotel rooms, on-site restaurant, café space, rooftop bar, an underground speakeasy, terrace pool with cabanas, spa, fitness center, retail outlets, public garden, ballroom and meeting spaces. CBRE worked with Zachry Hospitality to provide the loan from Nuveen Green Capital. Tara Snowden is vice president of Zachry Hospitality. Frank Piasta is vice president with CBRE.
