Developer Zachry Hospitality has secured a construction loan and will soon break ground on a Hilton Curio Collection Hotel in downtown San Antonio, Texas at the southeast corner of East Market Street and South Alamo Street. The Curio Collection by Hilton hotel will include 200 hotel rooms, on-site restaurant, café space, rooftop bar, an underground speakeasy, terrace pool with cabanas, spa, fitness center, retail outlets, public garden, ballroom and meeting spaces. CBRE worked with Zachry Hospitality to provide the loan from Nuveen Green Capital. Tara Snowden is vice president of Zachry Hospitality. Frank Piasta is vice president with CBRE.

Construction of a Marriott TownePlace Suites Hotel is set to begin at 265 Vaughan Lane in Pell City, Alabama. The hotel represents at $12 million investment by franchisee Shivaay Hospitality LLC and its owners, Darshen Patel and Vishal Patel.   The 89 guest room hotel will have kitchenettes and the hotel will have a bar in the lobby, free Wi-Fi, complimentary hot breakfast, and a firepit and pool outside. Financing was provided by South States Bank. The building is planned to be complete and open by 2025.

A 115-room hotel has been proposed for Haywood Street in downtown Ashville, North Carolina. The proposed Courtyard by Marriott Hotel will be located at 219 Haywood St., where it will include a business center along with a rooftop restaurant and bar. The project is estimated to cost around $20 million. The plans were submitted by Parks Hospitality Group. The hotel has a projected opening date in the fourth quarter of 2025.

Casino owner Bally’s and True North Hotel Group are planning building a 123-room hotel outside Bally’s Kansas City Missouri Casino. Bally’s Kansas City is the only casino property without a hospitality component on the Missouri side. The other three, Ameristar Casino Hotel Kansas City, Argosy Casino Hotel & Spa and Harrah’s Kansas City Hotel & Casino have 184, 258 and 392 hotel rooms, respectively. Bally’s is working with partners at Port KC on continued riverfront development. Michael Donovan, is regional vice president and Midwest general manager of Bally’s Corp. True North Hotel Group provides development and management services for a variety of extended-stay and limited-service hotels nationwide. In 2017, the firm completed the Hilton Home2 Suites at 2001 Main St. together with Sunflower Development Group and also manages the Fairfield Inn Kansas City Downtown/Union Hill at 3001 Main St. Its management portfolio includes 2,400 rooms in 25 hotel properties with 11 brands.

Developer JMS Development led by James Sexton is planning a mixed use development that will include two Wyndham branded hotels for property on the Columbia River in east Pasco, Washington as part of Osprey Pointe. The $450 million project will also include residences, restaurants, parks and an amphitheater on 55 acres at East Ainsworth and South Oregon avenues, west of Big Pasco Industrial Park. The proposed hotels include a 250-room Wyndham hotel and a 146-room Wyndham Garden. The project is due to be completed is 3 years.

Developer Baywood Hotels lead by Chris Desai and Al Patel have secured a $17.6 million construction loan to build a Hilton Home2 Suites hotel near St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport in Florida. Ocean Bank provided the loan to Baywood affiliate PIE Ulmerton Hospitality LLC. The 128-room hotel will be five stories.  Baywood Hotels purchased the 1.68-acre site at 4485 Ulmerton Road in June 2022 for $3.02 million. Construction is to begin in October 2023.

Developers are moving forward with plans for a downtown Phoenix Arizona hotel. To be called The Edith, the $140 million mixed-use building will be 17 stories high and feature 236 rooms with 23,000 square feet of flexible meeting space. It will include a ground-floor restaurant, rooftop pool and bar, café and full-service spa and fitness center. The group developing the new hotel includes Sunbelt Holdings, BB Hotels & Resorts (Berger Holdings), Pacific Hospitality Group and general contractor Mortenson. Gensler is the architect. John Graham, is CEO of Sunbelt Holdings.

A mixed use Home2 Suites Hilton Hotel is planned for Northampton, Massachusetts at 115 Conz Street. Developed by Mansour Ghalibaf of Rankin Holdings and designed by Berkshire Design Group. The proposed 109 guest room hotel and a 31-unit residential building, formerly the site of the Daily Hampshire Gazette office building will be an 18,000-square-foot hotel that would carry the Home2 Suites by Hilton. Plans also show the residential building would be constructed closer to Conz Street, with the hotel at the back of the property. The project would be completed in two phases, the first being the building of the hotel and the second building the condominiums. The project is currently awaiting planning board approval.

Developer The Fallon Co. is proposing to build a 40-story hotel and apartments adjacent to the Tennessee Titans new stadium set to open is 2027 in Nashville, Tennessee. Construction would begin in 2025 and include: a 40-story hotel with 450 rooms, plus retail; a 16-story hotel with 325 rooms and retail; a building with 550 apartments; 25 of them would be affordable housing units; a building with 175 apartments, all of which would be affordable housing units. Developer Urban Green Development plans to construct a 35-key hotel at 1643 and 1649 Boulder St. called Raha, in to Lower Highland or LoHi neighborhood in Denver, Colorado. The new hotel will include a 2000-square-foot restaurant and lobby bar on the lower level of the building. Above that level will be three stories of hotel rooms, as well as a rooftop patio.   Urban Green plans to break ground on the $23 million Raha Hotel by the end of the year, and plans to open the hotel to guests following approximately two years of construction. Coesivo Design Group is the interior designer of the project, the architect is Neostudio and the general contractor is Schneider Building Company. Scott Kiere, is president and CEO of Urban Green Development. Nate Sandberg is the project manager.
