Developers are planning to build a surf park resort in Placer County, California. Proposed by Chris Gallardo or Inland Surf Company the $150 million Alchemy Surf Resort would include: A surf lagoon using wave pool technology, with a two-story, 25,390-square-foot surf center. An action sports hub of two stories and 10,910 square feet with indoor skateboarding ramps, trampolines and more, next to an outdoor skate park. A three-story, 61,470-square-foot hotel of 100 rooms with features such as an outdoor swimming pool, a rooftop bar and restaurant/bar on the ground level. On the west and south sides of the surf lagoon, 22 bungalows of 390 square feet each, with premium hospitality options. Two two-story side-short hubs of 5,000 square feet each with visitor services, food/beverage options, a small store and some back-of-house functions. The project would be completed in the fall of 2027.

Developer Philip Burton of Burton Property Group has proposed to build an 87 guest room boutique hotel on the site of the old Hardeman National Guard Armory near Municipal Park in the Villages of Springhill West Mobile, Alabama. Conditional approval was granted by the Board of Zoning Adjustment pending changes to site plan to conform to community design standards, and a traffic impact study. The property is owned by the City of Mobile, and Burton has the site under contract.

Hotel developer MHR Capital Group has commenced construction of an AC Marriott hotel in Kennewick, Washington in partnership with A1 Hospitality Group and Fowler Construction. The new $47 million hotel will be connected to the Three Rivers Convention Center will be 5 stories, and include 162 guestrooms, a restaurant and meeting space. Kamran Hasan, if founder and CEO of MHR Capital Group.

Loden Development is planning to build a $75 million hotel mixed use development called The Deport at 327 W Davie, Street in the Warehouse District of Raleigh, North Carolina. Loden’s plans include an 8-story, 170-room guestroom hotel with a rooftop bar, 30,000 square feet of retail and 20,000 square feet of office space. Loden also plans to extend Commerce Place as a pedestrian walkway activated with retail. Project partners include: David Baker Architects, Gensler, McAdams and Site Collaborative.

Developers are planning to build a new 88 guestroom Home2 Suites hotel in Greendale, Indiana. A new hotel project is coming to a western suburb outside Interstate 275 in Greater Cincinnati. The $16.8 million project would begin construction in the 3rd quarter of 2025 and be completed in December, 2026. Greendale Hospitality LLC is the hotel’s developer. Maxwell Construction is the design-build firm on the project.
