Fields Development of Hudson County is looking to redevelop their headquarters into a 14-story hotel. Fields Development Group submitted plans to the city regarding several parcels at 1 Henderson Street, 497 Observer Highway, and 503-511 Newark Street in Hoboken New Jersey. The properties currently act as the company’s headquarters and a private parking lot, all of which would be demolished and redeveloped. The proposal, project is designed by Marchetto Higgins Stieve. The potential hotel would rise 160 feet above the Designated Flood Elevation and be built to LEED Silver standards. The ground floor would include a lobby and atrium plus a 3,500-square-foot restaurant, office space totaling 39,000 square feet and 195 total hotel rooms. Sun Development & Management Co. plans to spend at least $30 million to build a 150-room Tapestry on a parking lot at the northwest corner of South Meridian Street and Jackson Place, in downtown Indianapolis Indiana. A 110-room Tapestry hotel was to go into the historic, 12-story Jackson Square building at 233 McCrea St., at a cost of $15 to $18 million. That building will now get another, yet-undisclosed hotel brand. Ratio Architects is designing the hotels for Sun Development. No filings have yet been submitted to the city, although Sun hopes to have financing in place for the project by the end of the year. Sun Development has several other projects in the works around the United States, including in Nashville and Cincinnati, along with a  Hampton Inn/Homewood Suites  project at 414 W. Portman Holdings and DDRM have begun construction of the Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City. The development received $377 million in financing for the project, located at the northwest corner of 200 S and West Temple in Salt Lake City Utah. Situated next to the Salt Palace Convention Center. The 26-story Hyatt Regency Salt Lake City will feature 700 guest rooms, approximately 60,000 square feet of meeting space, two restaurants, a lounge, outdoor pool, business center, fitness center and 7,500-square-foot outdoor event terrace. Completion for the 686,784-square-foot hotel is planned for October 2022. Piper Sandler Cos served as sole capital arranger for the financing. The private financing sources include non-recourse construction debt and limited partner equity. Additionally, the Piper Sandler Hospitality Group served as the placement agent for the $54.7 million Commercial Property Assessed Clean Energy (C-PACE) loan to finance a portion of the project, which represented the single largest amount ever financed by C-PACE nationally. PSC also served as the sole underwriter for a $45 million taxable bond issue to finance the remaining portion of the project, which will be repaid by taxes generated at the hotel. Portman Architects Designed the project. PSOMAS is providing engineering services.

Developer Sandstone Properties plans to build 37-story hotel called The Albany at the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Albany Street in the Pico-Union neighborhood of Los Angeles California which borders downtown LA. Construction will begin in 2022 and be complete three years later in 2025. The developers of Omni Fort Worth are planning a $174 million expansion of the hotel which includes constructing a separate tower, to be located one block south of the hotel at Lancaster Avenue and Houston Street. The tower, an annex to the 34-story main hotel building, will add an additional 400 rooms. The hotel developers, Omni Fort Worth Partnership L.P will finish purchasing the property within this month. When the expansion project completes, Omni Fort Worth will have a total of 1,008 rooms and also includes 50,000 square feet of meeting space. Changes could be made on the plan’s design as the project moves forward in the next few months. The hotel is managed by Omni Hotels & Resorts. An addition to the 34-story The Residences at La Colombe d’Or is also being developed by Hines, La Colombe d’Or Hotel’s footprint will be expanded to a total of 32 hotel rooms across the Mansion, Tower and Garden Bungalows. The Garden Bungalows includes 9 suites grouped around a courtyard and are accessed via a walkway from the new tower, designed by Gin Design Group. The Crown Point Planing Commission is reviewing plans for a proposed hotel on the east side of Crown Point Indiana. Developer DVG Inc. plans to build a Hampton Inn near the intersection of 109 th  and Delaware Parkway. The developer would like to start construction in April 2020, pending approval from the city and the Lake County Drainage Board. The owners of the downtown Marriott Plaza Hotel in San Antonio Texas presented renovation plans for the 251-room property. The hotel at 555 S. Alamo St. will close in August 2020 for a complete renovation, and will re-open under The Otis Hotel San Antonio, Autograph Collection brand. The Otis Hotel will be San Antonio’s first Marriott Autograph Collection property. Renovations will include changes to the exterior, resort pool, lobby, meeting rooms and guest rooms. A destination spa and new restaurant and bar will be added, along with outdoor meeting spaces.
